Microsoft Band

So this weekend my wife was kind enough to purchase the Microsoft Band for me, it is a fascinating device that has, in just a couple of days, revealed interesting facts about the quality and quantity of my exercise and sleep. It is going to take a while for me to making changes based on these numbers, and longer still to make appropriate life style changes but the data is easily accessible from the Microsoft Heath Vault App.

One of the important things about this device is the seamless way it can connect to iPhone, Android or Windows Phone, and provides timely notifications to things like texts, Tweets and Facebook posts.

When it comes to replying to things like texts Microsoft Band has some preconfigured options because regardless of the suggested improvements to the keyboard in most instances typing on a 320x128 pixel screen is just a bad idea. So if you want to create a quick custom reply to a text or a phone call you can do the following:

Edit Text Custom Reply

  • Open the Microsoft Health app.

  • Select the Menu (hamburger icon) and select Manage Tiles.

  • Select Messaging edit icon.
