There has been some notable changes with SkyDrive mostly focused around speed, navigation and sharing but for me the most interesting change has come in the form of text editing in the browser. This developer focused feature allows you to upload (but not create) and subsequently edit documents directly in any HTML5 compliant browser.

SkyDrive1

This feature really starts getting interesting for developers as it inherently provides support for CSS, HTML, JavaScript, C#, PHP, Ruby and Python. Features include line numbers, syntax highlighting, search and replace, and color code hints. This is not a Visual Studio replacement, but it is a very solid text editor.

SkyDrive2

Upon saving, SkyDrive helps prevent conflicts by providing the ability to compare and resolve changes submitted by others while you may have been editing the file.
