Microsoft Bbuild 2020

This year Build is going to be free and open to everyone! It will be 48 hours straight of developer content and live QA! This year we all get to experience it from the social appropriate distance of our own homes. Build has always been the best place developers go to get their questions answered, this year everyone has the opportunity to shape the content we share. Go register right now and you can start to telling the team about the content that most interests you.

The plan is to have live interactive sessions right along side on-demand sessions! It should be fun, more details to come, see you there!

Build during a Pandemic

Build 2020 is the first major tech conference to go fully-digital with an experience designed from the ground-up for a virtual audience. With over 130,000 developers who already signed up for the free event, we are on track to deliver our ambitious goals at a scale we’ve never achieved before, creating an event “for developers by developers”.

The new format

Let’s recap the format for Build 2020, which was optimized for a digital-first experience.

  • A limited number of sessions are streamed live and repeated across three time zones (Seattle, London, Sydney). Those are 30 minutes in length: around 15 minutes of content, and the remaining is a Q&A with the live audience.
  • More sessions are available on-demand, published on the Build website, on Channel9 and on YouTube. These sessions are 30-45 minutes in length, and generally focus on content that is technically deeper in level.
  • Side activities that are part of the live programming, including Build Live (interstitials with live interviews) and Community Connections (interactive sessions to connect customers with the product teams).
