What’s in the new update for Windows Phone 8?

There has been a General Distribution Release (GDR) making its rounds for the various models of Windows Phone and mine (Lumia 822) just got updated. The updates include:

• Datasense – Helps track cell usage (was a Verizon exclusive).
• FM Radio – Lost in the transition from version 7 to 8.
• Camera – Allows support of Nokia Camera app in 92x models.
• Google support – Includes CalDav and CardDav support … at last.
• Storage – Storage check allows you to check where your precious space is being used and the ability to clear it up.
• Xbox music – Mostly bug fixes and synch issue resolution.
• Bluetooth – Again just mostly bug fixes.
